This Old Barn can support up to 150 guests. This does not include outside areas. If you wish to rent a tent, the number of people can increase. The property allows for ample space to move around and entertain. This includes the barn, an outdoor patio, and plenty of lawn area. The property is 17 acres total.
If This Old Barn is unable to fulfill this obligation for any reason under this contract, we will refund your booking fee in full. In the event of cancellation by the couple, if This Old Barn is able to rebook another wedding on that date, we will refund your booking fee.
This Old Barn requires $1000 booking fee to secure your wedding date. Final payment in full and proof of wedding liability insurance will be due two (2) weeks prior to the wedding day.
Yes. Wedding liability insurance coverage is required to host a wedding at This Old Barn. This insurance protects you and your guests if you are held liable for property damage or bodily injury. It will also cover any unforeseen circumstances that may happen on your special day. Liability insurance is not expensive and is worth every penny. There are two policies required: a liability policy and a cancellation policy. The cost of the policies is reduced when you purchase them together. Wedsafe.com and Wedsure.com are our preferred insurers. The insurance policy must be presented two weeks prior to your wedding.
Yes, you may use any caterer you wish! You can also choose from delivered pizza to a do-it-yourself pot luck, food trucks, to a fully catered event. Our only condition is that your party returns the venue to the condition in which it was found prior to your event. Please see our Vendors page for catering options. We require proof of liability insurance from your caterer one month before your event. You are responsible for scheduling a caterer or providing your own food service. If the venue is not left clean and in the condition it was found prior to the event, an additional cleaning fee of $100.00 will be charged.
This Old Barn does not permit smoking of any kind inside the building. If there is evidence of any smoking inside the building, there will be a $200.00 cleaning fee charged. Smoking is permitted outdoors. Smoking must be done at least 100 feet from the barn. Please use extreme caution in smoking outside and dispose of cigarette butts properly.
This Old Barn does not provide or sell alcohol. We may only use the exclusive licensed alcohol vendor provided by This Old Barn. A fee which will be your responsibility. Wedding guests are not permitted to bring in or consume their own alcohol. No minors under the age of 21 may be served alcohol. Alcohol service cannot exceed five hours. A soft-closing must be conducted 30 minutes prior to the closing of the event. By serving alcohol at our event, you assume responsibility for any damages, injury, etc. due to consumption.
While the barn owner takes care of the facility, ultimately, the client is responsible to ensure that the venue is left in the same condition in which it was found. The Barn staff will take care of the floors and restrooms. At the end of your reception all food and beverages must be cleaned up. This Old Barn staff will not clean up food and beverages. All the decorations and props you have brought with you need to be removed at the end of your booking period. Any excessive cleaning required will result in an additional cleaning fee.
Yes, we spray annually for mosquitoes and ticks. However, you are in nature and in a barn. While This Old Barn is perched nicely on a hill and gets a very nice breeze, we cannot guarantee a bug-free or critter free event.
Your reception must end by 10 PM.
